Anything Can Change Your pH: Destigmatizing Bacterial Vaginosis and Microbiome Imbalances
You’re invited to “Anything Can Change Your pH: Destigmatizing Bacterial Vaginosis and Microbiome Imbalances” with Nurse Zuleika Tavarez, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwife.
Bacterial vaginosis (a.k.a. BV) is the most common gynecologic condition for people with vaginas. However, there is so much misinformation around something that happens all the time. We know that the vaginal microbiome can be affected by many factors like stress, partners’ health and hygiene, contraceptives, soaps, antibiotics, and more. There’s no need to blame and shame.
Join us on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 for a community conversation that explores all the commotion about BV, ‘cause it’s time to end the stigma once and for all.
Bodies be bodying, so by knowing the truth about the external impacts on our internal systems, we can care for the imbalance, create conditions where bacterial overgrowth is less likely, and be kind to ourselves. 💯
