For individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or gender-fluid/gender non-conforming, going to a healthcare appointment can sometimes be a daunting experience. Clinical practices that do not prioritize inclusive care, might invalidate their experiences with things such as uninclusive gender pronouns on intake forms, being asked unnecessary invasive health questions, and failure to respect gender pronouns.
