Tending To Your Melanin: Balancing Skin Health with Aesthetics
You’re invited to “Tending To Your Melanin: Balancing Skin Health with Aesthetics” with Dr. Kiyanna Williams, Double Board Certified Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatologist.
🗓️ Wednesday, August 7, 2024
⏰ 7:00 PM ET
Our skin is the largest and heaviest organ of our bodies, protecting our insides from the outside world. It tells us about our health and immune system, helps us regulate our body temperature, and enables us to feel sensations like touch, pressure, and pain. So taking great care of our skin is vital to our overall health and wellbeing.
However, knowing exactly what to do when it comes to skincare can be confusing. There’s seemingly thousands of ingredients touted as the holy grail and so much conflicting advice. Some tried and true methods work for some people but don’t work for others, and some products may end up doing more harm than good.
And in the pursuit of clear skin for those of us with more melanin, balancing healthy skin with the desire to get rid of dark spots, scarring, and hyperpigmentation can feel like an uphill battle, when all we want to do is feel good about how our skin looks.
Join us on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 for a community conversation that helps us go back to the basics of caring for our skin so that it feels, looks, and is healthy, inside and out.
